Our newborn sessions are what you might call "Lifestyle Photography". Our goal is to capture those precious details of your new little one; the tootsies, fingers, eyelashes, maybe even an adorable yawn. We will lightly pose the baby with the family; mom and dad snuggled in on the bed or the couch, a sweet kiss on the baby's forehead or cheek from a big brother or sister, mom rocking the baby in the nursery. These sessions take place in your home about 10-14 days after baby comes home. This gives you time to settle in with the baby at home and the baby will still be all snuggly and cuddly for our session. Our newborn sessions tend to be very relaxed and quiet. We don't bring baskets, props or lighting. Our focus will be on you, baby and lots of cuddles and love.
We first met the Crook Family last Fall during one of our marathon mini sessions at Patterson Park and we absolutely adored them. You can imagine how excited we were when Jody contacted us over the summer to let us know that we were expecting their second baby and wanted us to photograph their newest addition. To be a baby's very first photographer is such an awesome honor and one that we do not take lightly. We met with them on a Saturday morning, spent about an hour at their home and got lots of good shots of the new family of four. We even got some action shots of Big Brother knocking over a tower.
